Shelby Slemmer

Shelby Slemmer is a fourth-year student at Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, studying Health Services Administration. She will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration in June 2024. Prior to joining the team as a Research Assistant for the WeCareAdvisor Study, Shelby had the opportunity to work within the Dementia Care Strategy department at Living Branches, in Montgomery County, PA. She gained knowledge of various interventions and therapies, including Montessori for Aging and Music and Memory programming. Shelby plans on continuing to devote her career to working with older adults and is especially interested in helping people living with Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia and their caregivers. Ultimately, she hopes to collaborate with emerging and existing professionals to address the intersection of inequities and aging, and to improve our healthcare system for older adults.
